Colleagues at Sainsbury's Castlepoint store have chosen Homestart a local Bournemouth charity to become its charity partner of the year. Nominations were received at the store from customers during the store's birthday celebrations marking 140 years of Sainsbury's.
Homestart Bournemouth is supporting local people struggling to cope with the raising of a child. They may feel isolated in the community, having no family nearby or struggle to make friends. They support people coping with illness, or that of their child. Homestart can help after the death of a loved one, and the emotional and physical demands placed on a parent with children.
Bournemouth's Homestart has over 90 volunteers working in our community from their office in Kinson. Sainsbury's Castlepoint colleagues are delighted to be able to offer their support through fund raising and activities for the charity, starting with an in-store collection. Later in the year Sainsbury's will be doing a sponsored walk, fashion show and supporting the Homestart charity concert.
