The Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth, Cllr Stephen Chappell and his wife Pippa, helped collect funds from visitors at Castlepoint Shopping Park for the Bournemouth War Memorial Homes Trust whilst the Band of the Prince of Wales’s Division played marches and popular show themes. The 3rd annual event was arranged by the Bournemouth Chamber of Commerce, Mike Vincent, Chairman of the trust and Peter Matthews, General Manager at Castlepoint to support the homes at Cooperdean.
Led by Warrant Officer Class 1 Bandmaster Evin Frost, the band that is based at the Tidworth Garrison, played two sessions.
“The performances were well received by shoppers and staff,” said Peter Matthews. “Thanks to the volunteers and the generosity of our visitors over £470.00 was raised in just a few hours.”
