We appreciate that customers are having increased difficulty exiting from the car park at Castlepoint Shopping Park. This is due to the road works on Castle Lane West and the restricted road width at the Cooper Dean roundabout. The knock on effect of this work creates a traffic build up on Castle Lane that backs up cars across the roundabout, thus allowing fewer vehicles to exit from the centre at peak hours. There is very little that we can do to alleviate the problem; we are having ongoing discussions with the council and the contractors in order to improve the situation.
