Shopmobility
Shopmobility provides a solution to many of the shopping
problems faced by those with impaired mobility. It is available to
anyone, young or old, no matter whether their mobility impairement
is temporary or permanent, caused by illness, accident, pregnancy
or ageing. Powered scooters and wheelchairs are available as well
as manual wheelchairs.
When and Where?
When you arrive at Castlepoint, follow the signs to Shopmobility
and B&Q then follow the green cats eye line to the unit which
is situated in the central part of the Car park adjacent to Hamblin
Way Aisle? The Shopmobility Unit is open six days a week,
Monday - Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. On Sundays wheelcharis
are available from the Customer Service Office, which is located on
ground level, underneath Argos.
How much will it cost?
Visitors pay £4 per visit. There is also an annual membership
fee of £8.50 with a
reduced fee of £2 for each visit. First time visitors will be asked
to register and will need to show some form of identification. Full
training can be given on any of the equipment and bookings can be
made in advance to ensure availability.
