Castlepoint 'On the Run'
Castlepoint Shopping Centre are proud to once again be supporting active local communities and encouraging young people to get fit, get healthy and get on the run!
The 2010 Castlepoint ‘On the Run’ fun run will take place at the Littledown Centre on Sunday Sept 26th. (First race 1030am)
Schools that enter teams can win a visit from local Olympian and marathon runner Liz Yelling. Liz says “The Castlepoint ‘on the run’ fun run is a great opportunity for children and their families to get fit and be active. These are fun events aimed at participation for the whole family. Because kids run for free we hope that schools and parents will get behind the run and see the value of being a healthy school and a healthy family. Running is really simple and anyone can come along and have a go!’
There are 1mile races for children aged 8, 9, 10 and 11.
1.5 Mile races for children aged 14 & 15.
A 0.5mile ‘family’ event for the little one’s (under 8’s) and an adults 5k challenge for the bigger ones!
This year entry for all children’s races in FREE! Adults 5k £5 to enter.
There are medals for all finishers and trophies for the winning teams in each race.
All entry fees and money raised on the day goes direct to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
